3rd Place: $1,000
4th Place: $1,000
5th Place: $500
6th Place: $500
7th Place: $500
8th Place: $500
The player with the MOST 1st Place Wins will receive $1,000.
If there is a tie, the players will split the money evenly.
The 32 qualifiers were of the top eight players in the last three community-led tournaments and the final eight were qualified by their MMR ranking.
The structure of the tournament is a Swiss-system. Each match, players are awarded points based on their performance.
The points structure is as follows:
1st: 11 points
2nd: 10 points
3rd: 8 points
4th: 7 points
5th: 5 points
6th: 4 points
7th: 2 points
8th: 1 points
There are four groups of eight players. Players will play five matches to determine who moves on to the finals. The top eight players with the most points at the end of the five rounds will move on to the finals where they will play a three game playoff using the same structure.
The brackets in Round 1 will mimic the final standings of the past week's tournaments; Players that qualified by an MMR rating will also face off in the first round.
Seeding is based off overall points standings. The top eight players will play against each other, then the next eight, and so forth. This allows for players who may drop a round to bounce back.
Three Game Finals
After the top eight players are determined, they will play a three game playoff using the same point structure to determine the winner.
In the event of a tie during the group stage or finals we will be using the following tiebreakers:
1. Lowest Average Placement across all (either in Finals or Groups) games.
Player 1 places: 1st (11pts), 3rd (8pts), 5th (5pts), 1st (11pts), 2nd (10pts) = 2.4 - average placement (35 pts)
Player 2 places: 2nd (10pts), 4th (7pts), 3rd (8pts), 2nd (10pts), 2nd (10pts)= 2.6 - average placement (35 pts)
In this case, Player 1 will advance since they placed just slightly higher than player two.
2. Highest position in last game played (Round 5 or Game 3 of Finals)
In the event that a player drops from the tournament, they will be replaced with a bot and added to the lowest seeded group. On the bracket you will see a blank space. Any bots in games are awarded zero points regardless of placement.
